Alphabet Walk - Y

Y is definitely for Yawn! I am exhausted. I'm so thankful for Teresa coming to walk with me tonight. She kept me motivated and moving!

Y was pretty tough. We looked for a Yield sign, a Yucca plant, a Yew tree, or a Yiddish man.

But, to no avail. Those suckers were already in bed, apparently.

We did find a few Y things though, so here they are:

Yapping Yorkie (you can just see his eyeball)

Yellow house (hmm... wonder who's house this is?)

Yaris

Yellow squash plant (you think they will notice if I "borrow" a few squash once they start growing? Lol)

Yard lights

Yard (thanks Sher for reminding us)

Yucky bug in Sophie's mouth

Yard cover

Yellow sign

Another kind of Yard light (man, this takes me back... there has always been one just like this in my parents' yard)

Those Yonder lights are my neighbor's house

Well, tomorrow is my final alphabet day... Z Day. I am sad to see my alphabet challenge come to an end,  but looking forward to new challenges. Next up is a color challenge...

Alphabet Walk - X

Day 26

When I was out walking yesterday, I knew that today, X Day, was going to be super hard... for more than one reason. Not only did we have graduation tonight, but Sheridan and I had errands to run before grad, so I knew finding time to walk was going to be tight. Also, I knew that X was going to be a tough one. So, I planned ahead. I asked 2 friends if they wanted to walk with me when I got home from graduation (they said "yes", hooray!) Also, while I was walking in the daylight yesterday, I kept my eyes out for X things... and I found one! Right in the middle of the road there was a big, orange X (painted), so I noted the spot and planned to go back tonight.

Well, even the best laid plans are subject to change. My friends and I went back tonight to take a picture of my big orange X, knowing full well that it almost certainly would be the only X thing I would find today. We looked, and looked again. My orange X was gone!!! So frustrating!

However, by some kind of miracle, we found a couple of Xs. I was truly surprised about that.

So, here are my X pictures:

There are Xs in the lattice work

There are Xs in the chain link fence

The cross piece on this mailbox looks like an X

Beth and Teresa\"s shoelaces make Xs

4X4

X in the concrete grooves

That\"s it for tonight. I am eXhausted. Such a long, long week. So many positive things are happening at work though. I am super excited for new challenges!

By the way, when I find that painted orange X, I\"m still going to post it! Haha!

Alphabet Walk - W

Life is always changing, nothing stays the same. Every day brings new challenges my way. Man, I'm glad for the weekend. I need some sleep!

Today was Day 25... W day. I almost didn't fit this walk in between 2 jobs and graduations. I can't hardly wait to only be working one job again. Just a few more weeks! Yay!

Here are my Ws...

Weeds

White Fence

Wires

Our flag... long may She Wave

There is a little Wheat growing in there

Barbed Wire

In the center of the grass, Weed Whacker string

Allied Waste

Water

Water Hose

Water Main

Window

Ozarka Water bottle

Donkey pulling a Wagon

This plant just grows Wild everywhere

Wall

Nothing much exciting about W Day (the walking part, anyway), except that it is over, and I can go to bed! Night!

Alphabet Walk - V

Sound. Asleep. Completely. Exhausted.

That\"s what I was. And then my alarm went off. Time to get up and go walking. Man, I could barely drag myself to my room to get my tennis shoes on. But, I did it.

I took off, and was soooo sluggish. I could barely make myself move. About 6 blocks from my house though, someone helped me out. Keidra drove up behind me and honked, long and loud! Thanks girl. It woke me up and got my blood moving. I needed that!

All that being said, V was HARD. Really. V? What the heck outside starts with V??

Well, I found a few things. Although I looked for a Vicious dog (behind a fence, of course), a VW bug, and even a Virginia Slims cigarette butt (hey, I was desperate), they were nowhere to be found. What I did find though is:

Victim (poor soldier has lost his head!)

Vintage Car

Vision of Serenity

Vines

Vee in a Tree

Vehicles

Vittles (people eat dandelion greens, you know)

And, for my last one...

Viscous Liquid (This is not Diet Dr. Pepper... I don\"t even want to know what it really is...)

Thankfully, I didn\"t see any Vampires wearing Vests while out and about either (although one of the Cullen clan would have been a nice discovery).

Happy V Day!

Alphabet Walk - U

Day 23... U Day...

Well, I started off on a really enjoyable walk tonight, but a phone call in the middle of it caused me to hurry, hurry, hurry. I managed to get in almost 2 miles anyway, and even though "U" was super hard, I still managed to find some.

U.S. Mail

Under Construction

Utility Truck

Upside down U Window

Undergrowth

Uninhabited

Unfinished... flower bed? pond?

Ugly Leaves

Unstructured, Unruly and Untamed Vines

On a really happy side note, my cat-trapping neighbors put their house up for sale. I am so. stinkin. thrilled. I can't wait for the day that I don't have to wake up and wonder if my cat has been trapped or not. Please, oh please, let me get some good, friendly, cat-loving neighbors!!  Tell everyone you know (that would love my cat) that it is for sale!!!

Happy "U" Day... I hope tomorrow is back to normal!
